An update about Summer and Fall programs

Forest City Volleyball Club recognizes that there are still many unknowns at the moment surrounding what our upcoming 2020-2021 season may look like. On June 17, the OVA announced that it would be be postponing the start of indoor competition until January 2021. Subsequently, the OVA hosted a Town Hall virtual meeting to review and discuss the Outdoor Return to Play and Activity Protocols in development and you can watch the replay via Youtube here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=INERyJ0fI_A.  The OVA has also created an FAQ on their website that address items discussed in this Town Hall: www.ontariovolleyball.org/covid-19-frequently-asked-questions.

As a club, we can appreciate that the continued uncertainty surrounding pandemic protocols for safe return to play makes planning the OVA competitive indoor season for over 850 competitive teams from across the province much more challenging. As we receive more information as to how our season will unfold, from the OVA and other governing bodies, you will be the first to know. For the time being, our Board of Directors are moving forward in preparation that our families, coaches and players will be together again at some point in the late fall enjoying the great sport of volleyball!

Latest FCVC program updates:

  • Registration for fall Acorn programs, and communication of competitive team tryouts, coaching roster, and athlete re-signing will not take place until we have more clarity on the practice/game schedule we are able to deliver to you this season.
