Over the course of four Wednesday evenings in May, Clarke Road Secondary School ran a volleyball program to introduce the sport to their feeder elementary schools. Registration for the new program was maxed out in February. The athletes showed up every night in full force eager to learn. The Clarke Road Physical Education head, Rochelle Meyers (an FCVS alumni) recruited FC coaches Bonnie Cooper, Jasmine Cooper and Bob Mann to lead their school volunteer coaches in drills and games.
The London volleyball community will definitely have more athletes interested and ready to join their clubs in the fall. Thanks to Clarke Road Secondary School for opening up their doors to the community to promote volleyball.
